Taft CEO recognized for leadership, entrepreneurial spirit by local organizations

Deutsch named Entrepreneur of the Year by regional chamber and top CEO by state business publication

Trenton, NJ (November 30, 2023) Taft Communications is proud to announce that Chief Executive Officer Ted Deutsch has been recognized for his leadership by both the Princeton Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce, one of the largest chambers in New Jersey, and ROI-NJ, a publication focused on New Jersey’s business sector.

Deutsch will be honored as “Entrepreneur of the Year” during the chamber’s annual Legacy of Leaders awards dinner on November 30. The annual event recognizes area business leaders who are acknowledged by the public as effective catalysts for improving the quality of life for those who visit, work, and live in the greater Princeton Mercer Region.

Deutsch was recognized for his contributions to the business community and work with Taft Communications. Taft is a purpose and impact-focused communications consultancy which has been helping companies and causes tell the stories that matter most for 40 years. The firm recently relocated to an Urban Enterprise Zone in Trenton, the capital of New Jersey and county seat of Mercer County.

I am honored to accept these recognitions that really depend upon the purposeful and meaningful work of our entire Taft team,” Deutsch said. “It is a privilege to build on the legacy of Taft co-founders Mara Connolly Taft and Pete Taft and to lead an organization that every day puts our values into practice for clients and community.”

ROI-NJ, in partnership with the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce, named Deutsch as one its inaugural Champion of the C-Suite. This award honors and celebrates achievements of New Jersey’s top leaders who were featured in ROI-NJ’s Power and Influencer list throughout 2023. Deutsch will be celebrated among the other statewide winners on November 30.

Deutsch was named CEO and managing partner in 2021 and leads Taft’s strategic growth plans. In addition to his work with the firm, he is deeply involved in civic activities. He currently serves as the board vice president for Jewish Family Services of Greater Mercer and previously served as board president for the Arts Council of Princeton.
