“I quote others only in order the better to express myself.” — Michel de Montaigne
John’s commercial experience and humanities training mesh to transform clients’ business strategies into persuasive stories. He specializes in helping executives in healthcare and life sciences bridge the gap between peer-to-peer communications and relating to the wider world — crucial when it comes to demonstrating the clinical and economic evidence that makes a product or service marketable. Whatever the form — white paper, presentation or social media post — John helps clients articulate strategic goals with precision. He also is a writing coach with Taft’s ClearPoint practice. Before Taft, John was a research associate in the consulting arm of BlueCross BlueShield Association and he refined strategies for biopharmaceutical market access with the Hay Group consulting firm. John has a bachelor’s degree in history and literature from Harvard University, a master’s in English from the University of Illinois and a Ph.D. in English, with a specialty in 19th and 20th century American literature. He is a member of the Modern Language Association.
