The man is a pro’s pro (and a prose pro, too). None of that is surprising, given Elliot’s deep and broad experience in all facets of strategic communications, branding, crisis management, and all-around ability to come up with great ideas. Before joining Taft, Elliot was most recently chief communications officer for Travelport Ltd. and senior vice president of corporate communications for leading travel and real estate conglomerate, Cendant Corp., which owned and operated such well-known global brands Avis, Budget, Orbitz.com, and Wyndham Resorts. Elliot was also vice president of U.S. communications and advertising for Dun and Bradstreet’s AC Nielsen Marketing Research unit in Chicago and held senior communications positions within PepsiCo’s beverage, snack food and restaurant divisions, after beginning his career as a trade journalist. Elliot has a bachelor’s degree in social science from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He serves on the board of Achilles International and was a board member of the Food Research and Action Center and After School All Stars. He is a lecturer at the Wharton School of Business.
